Who reads oregon.gov for fun facts about Oregon? I do, so you don't have to. Below are three fun facts about Oregon.
Abraham Lincoln turned down the governorship of the Oregon Territory to return to private law practice.
Oregon City served as Oregon’s capital from 1844 until 1852.
Oregon was admitted to the union on February 14 --Valentines Day.
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. This message goes out to all the couples and all the singles: I hope this overly commercialized holiday does not depress you, and you take all that "You can only be happy if you have someone" bullshit with a grain of salt. You should always tell people you love that you love them, every day of the year. I know I don't, but I really should.
My boyfriend bought me oil for my car. I bought him customized lotion and a gift certificate to a day spa. I think our gifts suffered from a lack of communication, but we probably received what was best for us. I am 3,000 miles overdue for an oil change, and he is 2 months overdue for a haircut.
