San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park

I'm not sure how I feel about zoos. On one hand, they are a fun educational tool. On the other hand, you're paying to watch animals in cages. I tried my best to enjoy yesterday as much as possible, but at times I still felt sad to see animals behind chain-linked fences. I was surprised to see that they were pretty vegetative; all the monkeys and gorillas were asleep in caves. It was a chilly day, but I brought a jacket.

Zoos and petshops have always depressed me. I avoid them whenever possible.

that's right, they should be eaten, not petted, caressed, or in otherwise anthropomorphised. likewise for humans when concerning their lifestyles.
