Please, Friends
I went WAY overboard last month, money-wise. I've volunteered to pick up the tab too much. Also, I plan to go even MORE overboard this month. Do not ask me to come over, or use my gas, or go out somewhere that requires money, or anything, please. For my own good.
Factoring in how much I have in savings, I am in about $13,000 of debt from car and school loans. I realize this is kind of bad, but I believe it is completely manageable. And, honestly, my credit card scares me more than anything, but somehow I keep it under control.
I really, really hate credit cards. They give me the illusion that I actually have money. Though, once a month (when the bill comes) they definitley remind me that I do not. And, yet, I won't get rid of them. Bah!

Though I don't want to encourage your debt, feel free to buy me international airfares from Brisbane Australia to Memphis, TX. In fact, I would not stop you if you in fact decided to do that. Wouldn't stop you at all.

if pleading with your friends fail, you can always have everyone rationalize their cost and have them pay it themselves. there is no shame in having a drink and batting around up to the point of alluding that they always need to carry their own weight when drunk. they've got enough money to feed themselves up to that day, they can and should pay for themselves. paying something for having nothing always puts an obligation to regain. the obligation turns out cycle of consumption. your friends aren't losers, i know, but do you really need to pay for them? i don't and that's why my ink is in the black.

this may be not of help to you, but just these months i repo'd two hybrids. both of their drivers where urban yuppies who thought that after crashing their slightly high end cars that should go over the tip of their insurance and let the flies sit. i'm basically an accountant with hired guns.
