My Inspiron 2650 laptop is old, I know, but before today it still worked. Unfortunately, the keyboard stopped working today. Until it is fixed or I learned to 'type' 100 wpm with the on-screen keyboard... Well, I'll be off more than online. I might buy a cheap usb keyboard until I can afford a new laptop. Okay, this 'typing' is annoying.
[Update 11/28/06] I do not understand what happened, but I turned on my laptop last night and the keyboard magically functions yet again. Proof, yet again, that this thing will not die. I almost broke down and bought this Apple laptop too. Sheesh.

i object stacy! there is a lot of room in your heart for prejudice. had it been so, you could have prevented the parental awkwardness of your bf. you would have been so prejudiced that having an apartment of your own would have been a good idea. i'm not a randian but there's a lot of good to be said about having a set of prejudged values that guides one's self. it will make you save money and not dependent on bundled keyboard emulators. jerry mcguire had those things that he thought but dared not say to others. really! and use me for an example, i'm incredibly prejudiced and a world of possibilities opens up after graduation. who else can say that but someone prejudiced! prejudice is good.

That happened on my Dell... some of the keys would stick and they didn't work. I don't use that Dell anymore, but I'm going to try to spray under the keys and clean some of the dust out.
My friend spilled Nestea on her Dell and the keyboard doesn't work at all. Sucks.
