In the summer of 2003, I thought it would be a good idea to buy every Paul Frank accessory I could find for a reasonable price on Ebay. Those who have met me know I'm not joking. I have shirts, shoes, purses, binders, bags, wallets, sweatshirts, keychains, pajamas, and that's about it... but it's still more than enough. I have no idea what I found so appealing about that monkey face, but I was still delighted when I got this email this morning:

julius bedding by paul frank industries bedding available NOW! when you consider that your bed is the place where you wind up spending half of your life, creating a fun and individual atmosphere is pretty important. we know you're totally over the boring, flowery sheet sets that make up most of your bedding choices. that's why julius & friends has come to the rescue with an entire line of sheet sets in all sizes, along with pillow cases, shams, and duvets! they're all brightly emblazoned with none other than - you guessed it - julius.let julius help make the phrase "waking up on the wrong side of the bed" obsolete.
I laughed when I read the email. Then, I read it again. It's no longer 2003, but I'm still tempted to buy the pillow, hamper, queen sheet set, shower curtain, and duvet. I said tempted...

I find "when you consider that your bed is the place where you wind up spending half of your life" almost insulting. Some joke I'm not getting? Half my life in bed? I didn't even sleep 12 hours a day as an infant.

I must be in the minority, cause I find that monkey face horrendous.

I love Julius. I sometimes wear him under cashmere and tweed.
My little secret.
