I like to start my day reading the NYTimes online. This particular day while reading, my boyfriend was reading behind my shoulder. Whilst reading about The Grim Neurology of Teenage Drinking, I was well into the second paragraph when my boyfriend started laughing.
"HAHAH. UNDER THE TABLE. JACK LONDON! HAHA!"
I was confused, but apparently I had breezed through a sentence that my boyfriend found particularly humorous.
"In the 1890's, at the age of 15, the writer Jack London regularly drank grown sailors under the table."
My boyfriend may be older than me age-wise but I carry mountains of maturity over him.
