I'm in the process of changing the layout for this site, so enjoy the minor hiccups, and I hope you like what you see.
I've successfully completed my move up north to Portland. I'm actually living with my boyfriend and his family in his parent's house. I'm starting to get used to their routines and sounds. The dog's barking, the jingling of the bells on the cat's collar, his sister's laugh, and his parents talking to each other in Khmer... These sounds don't jolt me out of my sleep anymore; they're quickly becoming the soundtrack of my life.
Not that I'm not busy. I almost miss my old active schedule full of school and work, as displayed below with a screenshot from google calendar:

I am actively surfing the internet for a job, car, and other things. Nonetheless, it's shocking to compare the way my schedule used to be (above) to how it is now (below):

Things are slow paced right now, but it's a nice breather for the moment.

You'd have to be happy it was so empty, after that monster. lol Enjoy your time off, yo.

that's cool that his parents are okay with you staying there. do they let you two sleep in the same bed? :)
i'm still staring at your calendar going *wow* lol. isn't it so odd to go from super busy to totally empty? i'm always amazed at how quick time flies, and then how it goes so slow when nothing is scheduled or needs to be done.
yay for new layout! you're still on my list of people to make layouts for.. when my calendar looks like yours does right now. actually, mine does look like that since i don't keep a calendar other than in my head, but you know what i mean :)
p.s. i have a couple standard vox invites left. should i send it over to your bf? then you can force him to blog at least once a day. a couple of people are interested in invites, but i wanted to give it to pete if he/you will use it. his account might have upgraded by itself by now too. i'm not sure.. a couple of people i sent invites to earlier on had auto-upgraded and they weren't aware of it.

Living with the boyfriend's parents? Takes me back....
No fun, as far as I was concerned, but my parents are tough to live with.

your google calendar looks a lot like my iCal. except... i'm too lazy to put things into mine. for some reason, i just can't make the transition to computer organizing even though i can do it with everything else.
