El Sol is one of my favorite restaurants in Corvallis, and it may be based entirely on the fact that ordering is so simplistic. I know that when I’m there, I’m going to have a macho burrito and a margarita. Yes, they have other delicious entrees, but why mess with a good thing? Now, read on, or just check out the pictures.
Like most Mexican restaurants in town, you will walk inside and notice the murals on the walls and check out the custom made tiles on the archways and tables. Then, you will dig into the warm chips and chunky salsa they put down infront of you.

Okay, I know I already said that I “when I go to El Sol, I get a macho burrito and margarita.” Well, previously I had ordered the strawberry daiquiri pretty frequently, but this time I browsed the liquor list a bit longer.
“Senor?” I asked the waiter, “What is in a margarita?”
“Ha ha ha! Well, tequila, of course!” He thought this was funny for some reason.
“Oh. Well. I guess I’ll have a … blackberry margarita.”
He looked at my driver’s license for a minute and then quickly returned with one of their “world famous margaritas.” Actually, I don’t really know if the rumours are true about them being world famous, but they are amazingly delicious.
I enjoyed a blackberry margartia, my boyfriend equally enjoyed the strawberry margarita.

Then, the food arrived. I had the macho burrito with no added beans or rice to the side. I couldn’t even finish the macho burrito, because, well, it was macho, and apparently… I am not.

Well, I ate a lot of it, didn’t I?
