« Stratosphere Tower Rides | Main | School begins again... bah! »
A good amount of Stratosphere's advertising goes towards showing off their Top of the World Restaurant, which is at the top of the tower (but under the rides and observation deck). I know I keep mentioning the Stratosphere Hotel (because, well, I stayed there), but I have to say that the dining is the WORST. All the restaurants inside of the hotel/casino are AWFUL --the Top of the World included.
There is an $100 Top of the World martini that I failed to try that did sound good though.
Boyfriend and I had an alright salad, mediocre French onion soup, and terrible, overpriced lunches. The Army serves better food than the luke-warm pasta I had. Boyfriend had a Hefeweizen --even though the brewery is just an hour away from us at home. On the strip, we were guaranteed a few things totally opposite from a day in Oregon.
1. No beer on tap.
2. No one would ever card us. Ever.
3. Everyone would ask for ID if we used a credit card. Always.
The butter was shaped into little Stratosphere towers, which I found super cute, and I imagine the dessert looked better than it tasted. If I had a restaurant grading system it would say something like, "THE VIEW IS NICE BUT NEVER, EVER GO HERE!"

Well, it is something you needed to do. How could you live with yourself, if when your friends and family asked "Did you dine at the Stratosphere Top Of The World Restaurant?" you had to say "No".
Take one for the team =P

Hey, happy new year! I assume u're using Movable Type, right? The navigation bar on the right is appearing at the bottom on my IE 6.0 with a screen setting of 1024 by 768. i had the same problem before and i can't really remember but i think to fix it, you have to alter your CSS file. probably the size of the 'container' ID....?
Anyway, just thought I'd let you know incase you are using an Apple.
