This is my post of the day. I just couldn't update w/o mentioning the hurricane (like every other blogger with a conscience) and every other post topic seemed trivial in comparison.
When disaster strikes, I think as a blogger I'm supposed to:
1) Pick a charity for you to give to. (Right now, you can trust American Red Cross, AmeriCares, America's Second Harvest, MercyCorps, and Convoy of Hope.)2) Express how grief stricken I am by the horrendous news.
3) Tell you how pleased I am that Wally World is donating huge sums --because that makes me feel better for apartment shopping at the mart that drives out local businesses.
All jokes aside, I'm not very good at blogging about things that I have no personal knowledge about, nor do I really have the right to do so. If I was in New Orleans, you know I'd posting nonstop, laptop in one hand and a camera in another. But that is not the case. God Bless all those in need, and I wish you all better times in the future.

Louisiana is a scary place to live altogether right now. I live in northern louisiana, well away from the New Orleans area and its still crazy. There are so many people up here and just not enough places to put them.
Right now its kind of like get home before the street lamps turn on. After that you're fair game if you don't make it in time. Its pretty scary.
But I live in louisiana and I don't really know what to say about it.
Its just one of those things.
